Flooding May be an Issue
There have been several reports of flooding in the Garden City area. Luckily, Bear Lake West has had no major issues currently, but there have been isolated reports of broken decks and flooded basements. There is a lot of snow on the ground and the weather is expected to warm up again this week. A large amount of runoff is expected, and with the ground frozen, there will be some flooding. Sand bags and sand are available at the county offices in Paris (Please do not go to Garden City). If you have the ability to check your property, we recommend you do so in the next few days. If you are not available to check your property, please refer to the Owner Directory (On the left side of the website, click Forms-Owner Directory) to contact your neighbors to see if they have had any issues.

A new HOA board of directors was seated for 2016-2017. Please visit the "Board Members" page for contact info. The HOA BOD President is George Lowry.
Please be aware of the HOA
regulations related to dogs in Bear Lake West HOA, Bear Lake County and the State of Idaho. Dogs are to be under the control of the owner at all times.
Dogs caught chasing deer and other big game animals can be seized, owners fined and/or the dogs destroyed by enforcement personnel. Farmers are allowed to kill dogs caught harassing their livestock.
Please be responsible for your sake and the sakes of your dogs and wildlife.
Additionally, it is common courtesy to pick up your dog's poop when it poops on another owner's property or on roads in the HOA. Be a good neighbor and clean up after your dog.
